DollarTub Review, Is It Legit or a Scam?

Posted on

From its name containing “Dollar,” you can probably already guess that the DollarTub website definitely offers something related to money. And indeed, this site claims to offer a program for watching YouTube videos for payment and completing other online tasks.

Just yesterday, we reviewed the CashVib scam, which was disguised as a site that paid high amounts for viewing ads, up to $0.60 for only 35 seconds.

So, is DollarTub also a scam site? Or does it truly pay? Let’s discuss it in detail now.

What Is DollarTub?

DollarTub.com is an online platform that claims to pay users for watching YouTube videos and completing various other online tasks, such as downloading and installing certain apps, participating in paid online surveys, and more.

This platform is supposedly managed by a company calling itself DollarTub Market Survey (OPC) GmbH. Any company using the “GmbH” suffix originates from Germany. However, after trying to verify, we could not find any address for this company, which suggests it is a fictional or fake company name.

Is DollarTub a Scam?

Yes, we are highly confident that DollarTub.com is a scam that will never pay its members or users.

Here are several reasons why we can assert this:

Registration Requires No Verification

Any properly managed website should use an email verification method for every user who registers to ensure that the registrant is using an active and genuine email address (not someone else’s).

However, after we tried registering with a random, fake email address, the site’s system immediately accepted it, and my fictional account was created automatically. Such incidents usually only occur on scam sites, which don’t genuinely aim to provide security to users and will not actually pay.

Offers a Large Registration Bonus

A $5 USD bonus is immediately given to every new registrant. Anyone can sign up, even using a fictional email address, without any email verification.

This is one of the classic signs of a scam site that is almost always present.

Offers Unreasonable Payouts

The image above shows an example of a video-watching task on DollarTub that pays up to $0.58.

By simply watching a YouTube video for just 35 seconds, users are supposedly paid $0.58, which is around IDR 8,500. This is incredibly unrealistic and can even be described as insane.

What benefit does DollarTub gain to justify paying users who only watch videos for a few seconds? After we tried watching the videos directly, most were just short film clips.

Pays $5 Per Referral Commission

Similar to CashVib, this platform also offers a referral program that pays $5 USD per referral. This is also highly illogical for a site that claims to pay for watching ads.

Sets a High Minimum Withdrawal

Among the payment methods provided by this platform are PayPal and wire transfer, with a minimum withdrawal amount of $100 USD. This amount is deliberately set high to prolong the time, making it difficult for users to reach such a large earning.

Or, what most frequently happens with scam sites like this, users will be unilaterally blocked when they have almost reached $100 USD in earnings.

What is DollarTub’s Motive for Creating This Scam Site?

After checking all the navigation menus and program features, we did not find any promotions for gambling sites. However, we found evidence that this site collaborates or acts as an affiliate for various affiliate programs, such as online survey affiliates, paid-per-install, paid-per-register, and more.

DollarTub also provides fraudulent or fake paid survey programs that offer an “iPhone 16 Pro” as a prize. These surveys can be taken, but they only promise prizes via a lottery without providing points that can be accumulated and redeemed.

So, the main motive of the DollarTub.com site administrators is to entice visitors to complete tasks that benefit the administrators.

The paid video-watching program is merely an attention grabber, intended to make every person who visits the site interested and willing to register, and then willing to complete online tasks that are part of the affiliate programs, which will generate revenue for the site administrators.

Conclusion

DollarTub is a scam site disguised as a platform for watching videos and completing other online tasks. Therefore, we do not recommend anyone register, as it will only waste your time.

Regarding the site’s safety, from a technical security standpoint, it is safe as it’s free from phishing and other hacking activities. Additionally, this site does not offer any specific modded applications or apps to its users.
