OpinionHero Review, Is It Legit or a Scam?

Posted on

There’s a new paid survey brand out there, called OpinionHero! Initially, we thought it might be related to OpinionWorld or PrimeOpinion, but after checking directly, it turns out there’s no connection at all, except that they’re both paid online survey platforms.

Among paid survey enthusiasts from Indonesia, the name of this platform might not yet be well-known, as its app on the Google Play Store has only been downloaded about 10K times by users worldwide.

What Is OpinionHero?

what is opinionhero

OpinionHero is a paid survey platform that compensates its users who are willing to participate in the paid survey programs it hosts. This platform is available as both a mobile application and an official website.

This platform is managed by a multinational market research company from Germany, SPLENDID RESEARCH GmbH, which is also the same company that manages Mobrog, a platform we reviewed some time ago.

In fact, when we opened both platforms simultaneously, they offered the same surveys, indicating that both platforms share the same data, except for user account or profile databases.

How OpinionHero Works

Its working mechanism is the same as paid survey platforms in general:

  • Registration: Users must first register using an active email address.
  • Email Verification: Email verification must also be done by clicking a link sent by the platform’s system a few seconds/minutes after the user clicks the registration menu.
  • Taking Surveys: Once the account is active, users can participate in available surveys to earn reward points.
  • Product Testing: Although product testing and mystery shopping programs exist, for now, they are only available in countries like the United States and Europe.
  • Withdrawing Rewards: Once the user’s total rewards have reached the minimum redemption threshold, users can make a withdrawal request.

Example OpinionHero Tasks

The image above is a screenshot of an available survey task when we registered and our account was active. We immediately received a survey invitation that paid 208 points, equivalent to $0.20 USD.

However, after we finished the survey, the reward points were not immediately credited to the account balance. According to a notification on the platform, they would only be credited after about 4 days.

Payments of OpinionHero

The withdrawal methods provided by this platform include PayPal, Skrill, and EcoMatcher for participating in tree-planting initiatives.

However, the minimum withdrawal amount is unclear! After checking all parts of their website and the mobile app, we could not find any information regarding this minimum withdrawal amount.

However, it is likely to have the same minimum withdrawal policy as Mobrog, which is 5 EURO or the equivalent of $6.25 USD.

Is OpinionHero a Scam?

OpinionHero is not a scam because it is managed by a legitimate company, which is also the same company that manages Mobrog. However, it does have quite a few drawbacks compared to Mobrog.

Its TrustPilot review rating is also still very low, having only been reviewed by 18 users so far.

And it’s important to be aware of the presence of OpinionHero Mod APK applications, which are usually available on third-party APK download sites. Such modified applications are quite dangerous and unsafe.

Pros of OpinionHero

Here are some advantages of this platform that might attract new users:

  • Free Registration: Anyone can register for free and easily, as long as they have an active email address.
  • Multi-Device: The platform is available as both an application and an official website, making it easy for users to choose.
  • Safe to Use: Because it is managed by a large company, its site and application are safe to use, provided the application is downloaded directly from trusted sources like the Google Play Store.

Cons of OpinionHero

However, there are also some drawbacks that are very worth noting before you register:

  • Limited Survey Availability: Similar to Mobrog, which rarely has available surveys, this platform is also the same. This is because they mostly use a specific filter or screening system for highly educated and high-income users.
  • Unclear Payment Information: As we mentioned earlier, this platform does not provide clear information regarding the actual minimum withdrawal amount they enforce.
  • Long Reward Receipt Time: Rewards that should ideally be credited to the user’s account balance in real-time immediately after completing a survey are subject to a delay on this platform, sometimes up to 4 days.

Conclusion

Although OpinionHero is not a scam, it currently has quite a few drawbacks, so we do not recommend signing up, as it will likely only waste your time.

It’s better to directly sign up for survey platforms that are clearly paying and performing well, so you don’t waste your time.
